Two feet of gnome is a commitment, and doing it in ivory and cream instead of red plaid is what makes it work - at this height and in this palette it reads as a soft sculptural piece rather than a novelty.

It stands on the floor beside a door, a fireplace or a console. The existing knit-hat gnomes in the shop are the noisy cousins; this is the one for a quieter room.
